Atlantic Tactical, United Uniform, and Lawmen’s make up The Safariland Group’s retail and distribution business consisting of 11 retail locations ranging from the Carolina's through New York. Based on our tremendous growth we are adding to our Retail Team and have an exciting opportunity for an experienceRegional Account Manager to be based at ouRaleigh, NC location.



The Regional Manager’s focus is developing and selling to the Law Enforcement and Public Safety agencies in the designated market.



  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers
  • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the customer type and competitive environment
  • Identify sales opportunities, assist in guiding the account to the correct product, request sales quotes from Customer Service
  • Submit orders to customer service by referring to part numbers and agency purchasing guidelines
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive intelligence
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
  • Responsible for establishing good working relationships with vendor reps and developing excellent product knowledge
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending regional tradeshows and training events, reviewing professional publications and competitor’s catalogs, establishing personal networks with key customers and vendors
  • Provide historical records by maintain records on area and customer correspondence
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management


  • Reports directly to the Vice President of Sales
  • Manages regional sales budget



  • Average at least 20 physical sales calls per week
  • Set up at least two (2) regional vendor demonstrations per year
  • Ability to present information to individual or groups and to communicate effectively
  • Ability to handle and complete multiple projects within deadlines
  • Must be able to meet sales goals and able to generate and close sales
  • Must be skilled with personal computers, MS Office products and the Internet
  • Detail and result oriented
  • Ability to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completely
  • Ability to facilitate the flow of work for a process or a procedure
  • Ability to actively participate as a member of a team to move toward the completion of goals
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies and procedures

  • Four (4) year degree or equivalent experience in Business Sales and Marketing
  • Law Enforcement / Military Experience a plus
