Overview

Maintains records associated with the inventories and cycle counts, records of files and data associated with reception, storage, handling, transportation and finished product team, as well as return of materials, components, supplies, parts and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Controls and monitors the physical inventory of finished products and sub-assembly, as well as electronic records associated with them
  • Coordinates transactions of the finished products from production areas and other locations within and outside of Safariland
  • Assists with assigned areas for the fulfilment of the tasks and control of metric of performance, as well as proper maintenance of the areas and resources needed for the performance of tasks
  • Supports the implementation of continuous improvement and reduction of inventory programs
  • Coordinates and oversees the daily cycle counting program
  • Keeps planners, buyers and other departments involved in any problem related to the shipment or receipt of materials
  • Receives, organizes, and coordinates the handling of finished product, materials, items and equipment requiring storage and/or inventory control services to support areas of service to customer and billing as well as the control in transit of the finished product
  • Responsible for appropriate, clean and organized storage of all materials while guaranteeing their physical integrity at all times
  • Maintain the physical integrity of packing, packaging, identification of materials and equipment for safekeeping and management
  • Carries out on-time transactions and electronic movements of materials in the visual system
  • May be required to perform any other task activity or special assignment related warehouse operations, as required by management
  • Engages with the metric of the Department and company
  • Active participation in Kaizen and continuous improvement events
  • Participate in the programs of injury prevention, incident investigation, and determination of risks and other activities that contribute to the improvement in safety, hygiene and the protection of the environment.
  • Lead the work of warehouse associates with guidance and direction from inventory Manager

Qualifications

  • Three (3) to five (5) years Inventory Control and / or Warehouse experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent work experience.
