    ATTENTION DEVELOPERS!!! Safariland is looking for a developer to join the team to help support our manufacturing and production business. This position will assist with support and develop of our primary ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012). This position will, also, assist with supporting and future migrations of our legacy ERP system (Visual Manufacturing). We are going through an exciting transformative stage.     Focusing on Microsoft Dynamics AX Product Lifecycle Management and Production provides business analysis, product structure guidance, meeting facilitation, training, and implementation of companywide business applications. Identifies opportunities to improve business processes and to use technology to improve revenue, reduce costs, improve productivity, and increase customer service. Responsible for break / fix and application enhancement support. 

     

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as Information Technology representative as assigned by management for key business system initiatives.
    • Supports both break/fix and new enhancement requests.
    • Collaborates with sponsors and stakeholders to define the project business case including project scope, goals and deliverables that support business.
    • Translates business requirements into technical architecture, data models and designs.
    • Participates in and leads peer code reviews.
    • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and end user needs. Identifies and documents business requirements which could be automated using current / new technology to improve productivity, reduce costs and better serve the customer.
    • Designs and configures business applications per user specifications using Safariland standard technologies.
    • Acts as liaison between the organization and application vendors as required for implementation, problem resolution, application upgrades and bug fixes.
    • Stays on top of current and new technologies and makes recommendations to implement those which would have a positive impact on the organizations.
    • Prepares and manages development releases (UAT and PROD)

     

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED EDUCATION

     

    • Candidates must have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering and have minimum of 1 year of programming experience.

     

    DESIRED EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY

     

    • Experience with C#, ASP.NET, MVC and MSSQL
    • Experience with the .NET framework
    • Knowledge of X++
    • Experience creating and maintaining SSRS reports
    • Experience with MorphX IDE, and all development and debugging tools
    • Excellent client relation, verbal, written and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to identify priorities and manage tasks
    • Ability to work closely within a team as well as independently
    • Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work in a dynamic / changing environment
    • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
    • Microsoft Dynamics AX/SQL Developer experience
    • Excellent understanding of the software development cycle
    • Experience in Object Oriented software analysis and design
