  • Overview

    Engineering Support Technician will support the R&D activities at Faye Rd., focusing on BOM creation and maintenance, ECRs, SSRs, NPRs, and other related documentation. Will also assist the Engineers with purchasing parts and prototypes for design validation. Will be the main POC for FFL activities for Faye Rd.


    Essential Job Functions:

    • BOM entry and maintenance of new and existing products into Visual.
    • New and legacy part creation and entry into Visual.
    • Validation of BOM’s with Engineering, Purchasing and Manufacturing.
    • Purchasing POC for acquiring materials related to R&D and new product activities in the Engineering and Tooling Departments with associated paperwork.
    • Creation and maintenance of internal documentation related to project initiation and follow-through such as NPR’s, SSRs and ECRs.
    • Document Control and Maintenance.
    • Maintenance of Engineering Assembly and Molding Guides.
    • FFL weapon acquisition and disposition. Monthly audits of weapon inventory.
    • Maintenance of electronic and physical FFL log books.
    • Recommend and implement improvements in R&D shop.
    • Responsible for the up-keep of all mechanical machinery and workspaces within the R&D shop.


    Required Experience:

    • Data Entry and keyboard skills are a must. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to take directions from others and execute them accurately. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good comfort level working in office and shop environments. Comfortable around firearms.

    Required Education:

    • Associates/Vocational Degree or equivalent work experience.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    • Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
    • Proficient Keyboarding Skills
    • Visual ERP experience desired, but not required
    • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
    • Bilingual desired, but not required
    • Technical/Mechanical Skills – Comfortable around machining equipment and hand tools. Some work in the shop will be required. Firearms knowledge helpful.
