  • Overview

    Responsible for managing and supporting CAD-CAM team of 9-10 operators (2 shifts (including ticketing and marker inspection) to achieve cutting area production targets in a high volume fast paced environment. Collaborate with other cross functional partners in the plant and related d.e.s. depts. Responsible for implementing target efficiencies, accuracy, productivity, quality and on time delivery.


    • Support the Cutting and Sub-Assy targets in a fast paced, high volume, marker making environment
    • Support related teams including but not limited to: Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, Sewing and finishing
    • Work particularly closely with Planning to allow for batching models, gender, sizes and multi styles using same material for long efficient markers. Guide Cutting dept in best practices for kitting such product mix
    • Meet minimum target marker efficiencies (85% industry standard), push to exceed as close to 90% as geometry permits
    • Increase marker lengths from current avg 1.6 yards to maximize material yield
    • Reduce current material waste due to high volume small markers, improve quality output, reduce errors and rework, increase unit productivity while keeping target deliverables (daily and weekly)
    • Utilize best material efficiency practices by manipulating markers (even manually as necessary) using nesting software
    • Work closely with Sample Cell and ONT/ DES to ensure that pattern architecture supports target efficiencies, suggesting pattern shape tweaks/solutions as necessary
    • Work with Cutting supervisors (all CnC’s + Lasers) to ensure target goals are met, and influence team to adopt best practices in material handling, material roll usage and support accurate metrics with Quality
    • Build on the skillset of the CAD-CAM team, establish their SOP’s, and develop leads for day and night shifts
    • Work closely with NPD teams in all locations to ensure integrity of pattern files and related data
    • Work with Optitex Marker/Nest ++Pro, current Accumark (for legacy product) & future Cut Plan Pro software (color matching)
    • Direct CAD-CAM Staff of 9-10, including ticketing & marker inspection


    • 10+ years progressive experience in a cad/cam fast paced production marker making capacity
    • 5+ years in a related supervisory role
    • Experience working with gerber, lectra (cnc’s) and laser cutters
    • In depth understanding of material optimization (marker efficiency, waste reduction)
    • Familiar with varied material properties (wovens, heavy laminates mesh/spacers/circular knits, elastics, velcro)
    • Optitex, gerber accumark (marker/nest focus)
    • Cut plan pro a plus
    • Knowledge of centric plm (or other plm) a plus
    • College degree or related technical degree required
    • High level of proficiency in cad marker/nesting functions (optitex, secondly gerber accumark).
    • Strong organizational skills and leadership qualities
    • In depth knowledge of production marker making processes and related fabric cutting processes
    • Excellent communication skills, collaborating effectively with broad range of colleagues
    • Responsible for development, justification, and implementation of continuous improvement activities in efficiency, productivity, and reduction of waste
    • Manage staff selection and performance, development and training to ensure team competencies, to reach expectation and company goals.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft windows and office software applications
    • Fluent in English and Spanish
    • Follow up to our SHE policy and use of personal equipment such as: glasses, shoes and ear protectors.
    • Follow up the necessary safety regulations to prevent accidents, and unsafe environmental conditions.
    • Detect and notify unsafe acts and conditions.
    • Occasional exposure to noise
