  • Overview

    Provide the Technical Design Team with oversight and technical leadership for all aspects of process, pattern development and grading capabilities from 1st Pattern through Production.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and enforce new standards, processes and protocols for Technical Design area from First through Production patterns, including Protos, Base Size Samples, ROS/Run of Sizes, Pre Production Samples, and TOP samples
    • Work in partnership with Product Development, Design, Sample area, Pre-Production and Production to ensure design integrity through to manufacturability (ONT-JAX-TJ)
    • Manage workload of diverse projects within Technical Design team
    • Able to cross function between NPD and MODS as necessary
    • Coordinate team’s weekly sample workload with Sample Supervisor/sewers
    • Develop and supervise designated tabs of Tech Packs throughout entire process
    • Responsible for tracking and updating all Pattern and Tech Pack changes until locked
    • Ensure correct hand off of information to Pre-Production team
    • Create Block Patterns (+ options), and ensure adoption/adherence by team
    • Responsible for standardizing correct grading, fit, construction and assembly
    • Responsible for Timeline Calendar adherence
    • Represent Technical Design in procedure and process meetings
    • Take the initiative for continuous improvement
    • Manages the Pattern Making team members. Responsible for defining the process, pattern making/grading discipline, naming protocol, software and storage of pattern files.

    Qualifications

    • Seven plus (+7) years of Optitex or Gerber CAD experience
    • Five plus (+5) year of pattern grading
    • Good fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
    • Associates required; Bachelors preferred
    • Basic project management skills
    • Proficient at pattern development and grading
    • Understanding operations and equipment
    • Well organized and disciplined
    • Able to communicate well and be able to interact with multiple disciplines, including sales personnel and end users
    • Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude under pressure
    • Willing to perform tasks outside of normal duties
    • Energetic and willing to work in a team environment
    • Sit for long periods
    • Perform repetitive motions
