  • Overview

    Responsible for driving the development, engineering, fit execution and specifications for innovative, technologically advanced products of the highest level.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages the development process of product lines as assigned.
    • Plans and tracks the development schedule of all products to ensure a timely completion.
    • Ensures both the technical superiority and the product quality/integrity of all products falling under their responsibilities.
    • Develops products, recommends materials, and construction techniques that meet Design expectations and meet or exceed predetermined cost targets.
    • Ensures execution of fit intent and fit consistency through clear analysis, documentation, communication, and adherence to fit standards.
    • Creates the specifications for the products, publishes, and maintains all records, style files, and Acts as liaison between marketing, design and production teams.
    • Work closely with Design in reviewing prototypes, and submits for approval for all categories from design concept to production.
    • Partners with Material Sourcing and manufacturers to develop new materials, construction techniques, processes, and samples used to create innovative and technically superior products each season.
    • Work closely with Pre-Production and Production team to ensure that products are executed properly in production.
    • Work with Designers to ensure that all necessary content, color codes, and correct style information is available for style set up in PLM.
    • Performs these and other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of Product Development or similar profession.
    • Good working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

    • Degree in Merchandising/Product Development, Design or equivalent years of experience
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a high paced environment

    • Ability to partner cross functionally and build strong working relationships

    • Exceptionally strong problem solving and negotiating skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and process implementation

    • Demonstration of a high level of organization in the product development process

    • Ability and willingness to travel – 10%

    • Experience with PLM systems

    • Standing for long periods.

    • Perform repetitive motions.
