  • Overview

    Working with the Ecommerce, Sales, and Marketing teams, in coordination with other departments, this individual is responsible for driving and implementing the design, development, production, maintenance and support of web sites, portals, and the company intranet to meet business objectives. Will provide business analysis and project management leadership.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for working with the business and technical staff to define Business Requirements by gathering and synthesizing detailed requirements that clearly define the goals, outcomes, and desired experience of proposed projects. Manages projects throughout the development life cycle including requirements definition, development, testing, implementation, and verification of business value. Manages the User Acceptance Testing (UATR) process through test, review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software.
    • Designs, develops, configures, programs, and maintains web applications per user specifications using Safariland standard technologies. Proposes solutions to best meet the requirements of the organization.
    • Build and coordinate the interface of web sites with other Safariland applications as required.
    • Provide research, support and maintenance, with on-call duties as required.
    • Manage/coordinate with outside vendors as required to meet web business objectives.
    • Research and develop patches/fixes for issues with sites as they occur.
    • Coordinate installation, implementation and security changes with infrastructure team
    • Assist in creating user instructions for supported applications. Coordinate and provide training for the roll-out of the new systems, new functionality or enhancements to existing functionality.
    • Create and maintain system documentation for all company sites
    • Follows change management best practices in the implementation of new or modified programs
    • Stays on top of current and new technologies and makes recommendations to implement those which would have a positive impact on the division’s business

    Qualifications

    • 8 to 10 years IT experience, 5 years supporting web applications in an programmer/ analyst role
    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Marketing  or related field

    • Proficient in Visual Studio, .Net, Adobe Writer / Photoshop, HTML, SharePoint, InfoPath, SalesForce, MS Dynamics – CRM and AX
    • Knowledgeable in SQL Server Reporting Services.
    • Knowledge of Oracle / SQL databases , and associated tools
    • Basic understanding required to deploy and support applications over the network
    • Basic understanding of Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Financial functions
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a dynamic / changing environment
    • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness
    • Excellent business analysis and project management skills
    • Ability to work independently with excellent time management skills
