About The Opportunity:

 

The Technical Product Manager (TPM) will be responsible for planning and delivering new software products and enhancements to existing software products within one or more product lines.  The TPM will be part of the product team and will help define and prioritize technologically complex product features, facilitate the development and delivery of the planned roadmaps by providing leadership and oversight to the development teams.

This is a full-time position with our team in Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

The Technical Product Manager responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage requirements for new technical features and enhancements.
  • Focus on the business needs and vision of the product and use technical abilities to drive successful solutions that improve usability, adoption, and success of the product.
  • Lead architectural discussions to ensure solutions meet product requirements.
  • Work with the product stakeholders, technical product leads, and development teams to easily recognize system deficiencies, lead the implementation of effective solutions and identify possible risks.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of robust software for large-scale applications in fast-changing environment.
  • Act as the Product Owner for agile development teams, defining scope, facilitating the efficient development and accepting newly developed features and user stories as they are completed.
  • Give demos of new features to internal teams for feedback and educational purposes.
  • Reach out to end users and potential customers on a regular schedule. Develop and maintain understanding of customer workflows and processes.
  • Proactively and clearly collaborate and communicate feature goals, priorities, scope, status and more with teams across the company.
  • Collect, analyze and summarize competitive information. Educate company on relative competitive advantages and weaknesses of competitive products.
  • Execute on several projects concurrently while balancing shifting priorities.

Qualifications

What we want to see in your background:

  • 10+ years hands-on experience at senior level designing and implementing complex enterprise architectures and solutions.
  • 5+ years of product management/product development experience.
  • Strong knowledge in Agile software tools and methodologies. At least 3 years of experience working in an Agile (Scrum) product environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft web technologies & Azure cloud a plus.
  • Advanced technical degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster cross-team and intra-team collaboration. Ability to understand and appreciate how strategy, sales, product, engineering, and operations are intertwined.
  • Strong communication and analysis skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing business and technical priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight.
