Safariland has a unique opportunity for a hands-on Corporate Recruiter to join our team and help take our business to the next level.


You will be using your business and HR skills to work with leaders and associates at all levels within Safariland to execute on a robust recruitment strategy. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service skills and must be outcome-oriented. The ability to support the full cycle recruitment process in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and good judgement is essential. You will be fully engaged and busy from the first day, and we guarantee there will never be a dull moment.


Here is what the position is all about:

  • Establish recruiting requirements based on company objectives
  • Commands a full grasp of the company, our mission, and the specific employee we are looking for
  • Meet with hiring managers frequently to understand key job functions and requirements and to determine recruitment strategies
  • Guide hiring managers through the hiring process
  • Source active and passive candidates through a variety of sourcing tools including LinkedIn, Indeed and various social media and other sites
  • Find innovative ways to bring in top-tier talent
  • Manage applicant flow from internal and external postings within our applicant tracking platform.
  • Willing to learn company's business metrics and goals, to better identify the right candidates
  • Screen candidates rigorously by evaluating applicants through phone interviews; analyze candidate responses; compare qualifications to job requirements all while taking detailed notes in order to provide accurate feedback on the candidates
  • Highlight organizations attractiveness with job offers and compensation practices, and emphasize company benefits and perks
  • Schedule interviews, make offers and start pre-employment screening
  • Develop new, and/or enhance current job descriptions.
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners at the sites with regards to internal candidates and onboarding of new hires
  • Represent Safariland in a positive and professional manner at recruiting events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal customers (hiring managers, etc.) and potential candidates.
  • Review, analyze and disposition resumes using our ATS software



  • At least five years of recruitment experience in a corporate environment, staffing for various professional roles is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) needed.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking systems such as ICIMS is a plus.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR or related field.


  • This person is a team player, detail-oriented and is able to adjust and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to provide communication that is clear and direct, both written and oral.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with an ability to quickly shift focus as required by needs of the business.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Effectively communicate with hiring managers, with an ability to encourage and solicit candidate feedback regarding candidates.
  • Knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Experience recruiting for all functions within an organization and at all levels within an organization
  • Positive attitude with meticulous attention to details
  • Self-motivated individual who loves to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to engage candidates and act as a company ambassador – any experience in Sales or PR a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Extremely detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through skills
