The Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) Manager is primarily responsible to develop and sustain SHE programs at the Jacksonvile Air Port and Rogers manufacturing locations. Provide oversight and assistance to other selected locations with the implementation and maintenance of the SHE programs as directed.





  • Responsible for the development and sustainability of SHE programs at the Jacksonvile Air Port and Rogers manufacturing locations
  • Provide resources to assist SHE Director with implementing the SHE programs and developing a safety culture within the company’s North American manufacturing and retail locations
  • Support the development of a culture that will not accept justification for incidents that may create inuries, damage property or disrupt the normal, smooth operations within our locations
  • Support the sustainability of the ISO and OHSAS registrations
  • Assist, as directed, certification efforts for any new locations that are selected for registration
  • Implement and oversee audit programs to sustain the ISO and OHSAS certifications
  • Conduct internal audits and maintain facilities at ready state for external audits to measure conformance with all SHE and certification programs
  • Provide auditing services at other manufacturing and retail locations to evaluate risks and support implementation of applicable SHE programs
  • Develop and support CI initiatives to better integrate SHE programs into the business structure



  • Support a zero injury loss control program that utilizes employee engagement, empowerment and training as key components to focus on achieving an injury free work environment
  • Oversee the development of SHE programs
  • Periodically help with program assessment to sustain conformance with critical SHE regulationsRisk Assessment Process
  • Support the risk assessment process Ergonomic
  • Provide ergonomic assessments of manufacturing and office work stations
  • Make recommendations for workstation design changes to mitigate stressful operations identified in the assessment
  • Assist facilities with the development and maintenance of the Safety Committee process.Contractor Safety Program
  • Support facilities in their management of the contractor safety process. Review and assure compliance with SHE program requirements, insurance levels and training requirements
  • Provide oversight for the fire prevention and safety programs
  • Assist locations with management of their work compensation claims
  • Support SHE Director with implementation of company’s security programs

Environmental Programs

  • Support implementation of programs to reduce consumption of energy and other resources

  • Oversee the development of recycling programs for all spent materials that support minimization of landfill and hazardous waste generation

  • Work with product design to help identify designs that promote environmental sustainability

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of the environmental impact assessment programs

  • Provide assistance and training to enhance program value

  • Oversee the management of the programs to ensure compliance with regulations

  • Coordinate training and inspection programs to ensure compliance with Company policies

  • Assist facilities with compliance to the regulations

  • Oversee the development and implementation of Best Management Practices and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans

  • Provide training and work with facilities to eliminate sources of storm water pollution

  • Review water use and determine discharge permit requirements and options

  • Assist facilities in operating to the permit requirements

  • Oversee air discharge compliance programs

  • Provide assistance to evaluate air discharge points and determine permitting requirements

  • Manage an inspection process to sustain compliance

  • Provide support for compliance with national and international regulatroy requirements for sales and distribution of chemical based products

  • Oversee SHE activities at Jax AP and Rogers locations

  • Set implementation standards for SHE programs at various manufacturing or retail locations as assigned by trhe SHE Director




Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years’ experience and Associate’s degree in related field considered

Required Experience

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of safety, health and environmental management in a manufacturing, distribution or retail environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 49001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems a plus
  • Safety and Environmental training
  • Strong communication and culture building skills
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution or retail environment
  • Budgeting and long range planning experience
  • Knowledge of security functions
