Overview

Prepares license applications for the export of technical data, hardware, and services and coordinates other export compliance related processes in accordance with company policies and procedures and U.S. Government export regulations and laws.

Responsibilities

 

  • Performs reviews of sales orders for determining product classifications and export license requirements. Participates in discussion/meetings regarding orders for all products.
  • Prepares Commerce (BIS) and State (ITAR) export license applications for the export of technical data, hardware, and services in accordance with company policies and procedures and U.S. Government export regulations and laws.

  • Assists with review and approval of presentations, briefings, documents, marketing publications, and other information to be provided to foreign persons prior to release outside the company. Assists with reviews and approval of foreign visitor and international travel authorizations. Prepares and coordinates shipments of unclassified hardware and technical data shipments with Shipping Department. Resolves  shippers’ questions related to the Automated Export System. Screens parties to transactions and assists in the resolution of any potential matches flagged by restricted party screening software.

  • Maintains records as required by the law and internal processes. 

  • Assists with assigning Tariff numbers and export classification numbers to products. 

  • Seeks opportunities to understand company activities and improve export and import compliance programs. 

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. 

 

 

Qualifications

 

Required Experience

  • 2-4 years related experience in the US export environment.
  • Experience with use of SNAP-R and DTrade licensing platforms
  • Free Trade Agreement experience is a plus.

 

Required Education

  • High School or GED equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
