Safariland has a unique opportunity for a hands-on Director of Talent to join our team and help take our business to the next level.

 

Reporting to our VP of Human Resources you will lead the overall leadership development strategy, framework and supporting initiatives to enable The Safariland Group leaders to effectively deliver on the company business strategy.  The Director will consult with operating and functional business leaders and will work with the HR Business Partners around the globe to create and implement an enterprise leadership strategy, pipeline, and programs focused on hiring and developing talent who can lead at all levels in the organization.

Responsibilities

Here is what the position is all about:

  • Create a measurement methodology to inform data driven decisions and insights related to talent acquisition and talent development.
  • Review and Advise on global Talent Acquisition (TA) platform, program and best practices.
  • Review existing talent development, performance management and associate engagement initiatives for gaps against organization needs assessment; and build road map and strategic vision for new or redesigned initiatives to help fill those gaps
  • Create and Implement project plan and work closely with HRBPs to assist with roll out of strategic talent development strategies and initiatives. Effectively orchestrate and ensure a cohesive, timely delivery of those initiatives across the organization.
  • Facilitate robust talent reviews to continuously adjust selection and development process.
  • Standardized hiring practices and process including company branding, interview standards and training, and feedback mechanisms
  • Develop and deploy a global coaching program to support planned learning objectives for operations and support services.
  • Oversees vendors and contract negotiation, continuously evaluates success of vendors. Responsible for establishing budget goals for programs and successfully tracks and manages expenditures against budget and timelines.
  • Foster organizational commitment by being a culture champion for all levels of the organization.
  • Develop and manage university, community, and internship recruiting programs.
  • Work with key stakeholders to craft in-depth assessment of organizational needs in regards to talent development; leveraging data and analysis of organization’s historical behavior and patterns as a part of assessment along with analysis of trends in the greater marketplace.
  • Continuously research and produce insights on marketplace trends and success of talent development initiatives by other organizations, ensure TSG remains up to speed with those trends and competitive in the marketplace as an employer of choice.
  • Works collaboratively with other HRBP team members in Recruiting and Human Resources to ensure consistency of approach across programs that intersect or are involved with Talent Development (e.g. diversity initiatives, benefits and wellness, etc.)

Qualifications

Desired Experience & Education:

 

  • Ten (10) or more years’ related experience in Human Resources management, specifically in the area of Talent Acquisition and Talent Development.
  • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or other related field.
  • Masters’ Degree in related field preferred

  • Demonstrate success in the design, development, and implementation of learning and development programs
  • Ability to lead and influence diverse groups of employees and leaders
  • Experience in strategic data collection and analytics
  • Proven communication skills (written, oral, presentation)HR/GPHR designation preferred
