What this role is about:

 

We are looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer with a strong Azure background. In addition to a passion for technology, we are looking for someone that is self-directed and a great communicator.

 

The Sr. Systems Engineer will be accountable for the production operations of our Azure Cloud products.  In this role, you will manage customer deployments, track statistics, manage alerts, and help support staff and product teams in debugging intricate production issues and managing incidents. In addition, you’ll be responsible for improving our Azure platform, identifying opportunities for automation, cost savings, and performance increases.

 

This is a full-time position with our team in Seattle, WA with occasional travel required to customer sites and partner locations.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with product team to keep the platform running optimally
  • Expertise in Azure cloud technologies
  • Come up with initiatives to continuously improve platform performance and reliability
  • Track and optimize cost of infrastructure and operations
  • Keep production software and packages up-to-date
    Make sure the infrastructure is scaling up and down properly
  • Design, build and configure tools to monitor platform status and performance
  • Publish up-to-date platform status and performance (uptime, latency, etc.) to stakeholders
  • Set up alerts notifying teams before potential issues escalate to a service outage
  • Help teams in debugging intricate production issues
  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
  • Perform security incident analysis and make sure actions are taken to eliminate the loophole
  • Collaborate with pre-sales on handling information regarding the production platform
